Priyanka Chopra — inarguably one of the most admired women in the world — has her own fashion muse.
A spy said the “Quantico” star spotted Anok Yai — the Egyptian-born American model of South Sudanese descent who has appeared in campaigns for Tom Ford, YSL, Prada and Alexander Wang — at a party for Vanity Fair’s Best-Dressed List.
Indian-born Chopra, who is married to Nick Jonas, made a beeline to Yai at the VF bash and was overheard saying, “I’ve been seeing you gliding since you walked in… You’re so beautiful… I’m obsessed.”
Yai, 21, was discovered in 2017 when she was pictured on Instagram at Howard University’s homecoming, attracting interest from a host of modeling agencies. Yai is signed to Next Models, and has become the face of Tom Ford, YSL, Versace, Prada, Fendi, Estee Lauder and Max Mara.
Chopra is producing and starring in “The Sky Is Pink,” out in October, and has also signed to star in Netflix’s “The White Tiger,” based on Aravind Adiga’s award-winning novel. Also at the VF bash at L’Avenue at Saks were Anna Wintour, VF editor Radhika Jones, Saks boss Marc Metrick, Lindsey Vonn, Zac Posen and Christian Louboutin.
