Fire panic at Brooklyn club turns out to be NBC drama

September 26, 2019

Some Williamsburg residents got a scare on Wednesday night when fire, smoke and even loud “cannon-like” booms were heard emanating from a popular nightclub, Schimanski, on North 11th Street.

“It caused some panic,” a Brooklyn spy told Page Six. “It looked like people were screaming and running for their lives out of the place. It seemed like EMS and the FDNY were there.”

Video showed the street full of emergency vehicles as smoke dramatically rose from the hot spot. But the source revealed, “Then I realized … it was all for a TV show.”

We hear that NBC’s second season of “Manifest” — the show about a group of passengers on a plane who bizarrely land years in the future — was filming a bombing scene at the venue.

The unscathed club is now back open — with Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon (aka DJ D-Sol) spinning on Friday, and “Game of Thrones” star Kristian Nairn (who played Hodor) DJing next week.

“Manifest” dropped a Season 2 teaser called “Everything Has Changed,” but Schimanski owners hope not.
