Margaret Qualley and Pete Davidson are Still Dating. Andie MacDowell Thinks It's 'Beautiful'

September 30, 2019

In case you missed it, Margaret Qualley and Pete Davidson are dating, and since Andie MacDowell is Qualley's mother, she's in the mix too!

Now, you may be wondering what this means for you, and since I don't know who you are (specifically) I'm loath to get too concrete here on the off-chance this actually means something to you. In general, this is not a stop-what-you're-doing-and-go-seek-shelter-now type of situation; it's more of an FYI thing.

Probably because Lindsay Lohan hasn't gotten herself arrested in a while, this is what publications are focusing on. Of course People went straight to the source to get the goods. No, they didn't ask Pete or Margaret, they asked her mother, of course!

Here's what Andie MacDowell (who was superb in Four Weddings and a Funeral, I might add) had to say:

MacDowell, 61, told PEOPLE she and the Saturday Night Live comedian "haven't met" yet.

"I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete that's what it was," she said.

"She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don't want to step on her relationship too much," the mother of three shared, adding, "They have a nice relationship."

I follow Andie MacDowell on Twitter. Her posts are always gentle, usually about rescue animals, and occasionally, she posts pics of herself at the same place we both hike (although I've never seen her there, personally.)

So I know for a fact she's described other things as beautiful, such as:

Nature.

Memories.

Tender Hearts.

Vibes.

Experiences.

Fostering Kittens.

What's the point? I don't know! This is a "Choose Your Own Adventure" type of post, but if you need some options, I'll give you a few.

Choice A: You should read absolutely nothing into Andie MacDowell's comments because she would never say anything disparaging about her daughter's love life publicly. In fact, I doubt she'd say anything disparaging about you and yours, either. She doesn't strike me as that person. "Beautiful" seems to be a go-to word for her, so just stay cool, OK!?

Choice B: Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley are, like, 2 moments away from getting married and her mother is letting us know. Plan accordingly.

Choice C: This is all a simulation. The year is 2345. Your spaceship has crashed on an unknown alien planet and you will never return to Earth. You are the lone survivor of your crew. However, there is a sole, lonely alien as the only inhabitant of the planet who wants you to keep him company, and as a mercy, can also simulate the world as it once was, for you to experience while you stay with him. Forever. However, he doesn't understand humans need to eat to live. You're feeling faint now. Soon you'll go to sleep.

Which option do you choose?
