Felicity Huffman’s daughter will reportedly retake SATs after admissions scandal
Felicity Huffman‘s daughter will be allowed to retake the SAT test — after her actress mother paid to have her scores doctored the last time she took the exam, according to a new report.
The former “Desperate Housewives” star’s daughter with fellow actor William H. Macy, Sophia Grace Macy, wants to apply to universities and has been authorized to take the SATs again, TMZ reported.
The College Board — which administers the exam — has determined that there’s no evidence Sophia knew her mother had an SAT exam proctor correct her wrong answers as part of the nationwide college admissions scandal, the outlet reported.
Although Sophia wasn’t implicated in the crime, there would only have been a six-month suspension from sitting for the exam, reps said.
Huffman pleaded guilty to charges that she paid college fixer William “Rick” Singer $15,000 to inflate her daughter’s test scores. She was sentenced earlier this month to serve two weeks behind bars.
“I can only say I am so sorry, Sophia. I was frightened, I was stupid, and I was so wrong,” Huffman said at her sentencing. “I am deeply ashamed at what I have done. I have inflicted more damage than I could imagine.”
