In just three short months, Jana Duggar will turn 30.

We assume that even in the weird, upside-down world the Duggars inhabit, the big 3-0 is a milestone birthday, and Jana and her twin brother John David will probably mark the occasion with a chaste celebration involving cake and sparkling grape juice (if those things are permitted).

Of course, for Jana, the festivities might be bittersweet, as it looks like she'll still be single as she enters her fourth decade.

Obviously, being single and 30 is no big deal for most people.

But Jana is a Duggar, which means she's been taught from a young age that prayin' and procreatin' are her primary reasons for being.

In the tabloid press, much has been made of the fact that Jana is still single.

Over the years, we've heard endless courtship rumors and speculation that she'll never settle down.

There have even been reports that Jana is dating longtime friend Laura DeMasie and will never come out because she knows her parents would disown her.

We may never know exactly why the eldest Duggar daughter has chosen to remain unattached.

But one thing we do know is that there's truth to those reports that her parents -- Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar -- are growing increasingly frustrated with her lack of production in the offspring department.

“Meet a nice boy, date, get engaged, marry and start a family right away — that’s just how the Duggars do things,” a source tells In Touch of the Duggars' vision for Jana's future.

“But Jana isn’t going to marry someone just to follow the family norm — and that’s refreshing.”

Yes, it seems that Jana is picky and hasn't found much to get excited about in the courtship opportunities that have been offered to her thus far.

Most parents would be proud of their daughter for refusing to be pressured into marriage -- but not the Jim Bob and Michelle.

For the most part, the Duggars have kept mum about their daughter's marital status.

But on rare occasions, Jim Bob has opened up about the fact that Jana is still single.

And while he generally tries to keep his comments light, at times, his frustration is evident.

“Jana is 28-years-old and still single, so she’s still praying about 'the one,'” Jim Bob famously remarked during one of Jana's previous birthdays.

We're sure the constant needling gets old, but for the most part, Jana has maintained her sunny outlook when it comes to her love life -- and her parents' occasional comments about her search for Mr. Right.

“Maybe he’s riding in on a green turtle instead of a white horse,” she recently said. "Well, that would certainly explain why he’s taking his time!"'

Jana added:

“[I’m] still searching for Mr. Right. In the words of Michael BubléOpens a New Window., ‘Just haven’t met [him] yet!'”

We wish her all the best in her search -- and we encourage her to continue being choosy.
