Norah O’Donnell scores interview with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Norah O’Donnell bagged a stunner of a scoop in her newly expanded role at CBS — the first interview with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman since he was accused of ordering the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Insiders tell us she’s been working on the sit-down for nearly a year, which will air on Sunday’s “60 Minutes,” and spent four days in Jiddah reporting and preparing for the piece.

“This is a huge get for Norah — MBS doesn’t do interviews,” said a source.

They added, “She flew back from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday and landed at 1 p.m. after a 14-hour flight, did the ‘CBS Evening News’ that night at 6:30, and has been working on the piece all week.”

As Page Six first reported in April, O’Donnell has been given a bigger role at “60 Minutes,” including her own team of producers, and was named anchor of the “Evening News” in May.
