Lauren and Josiah Duggar has a special reason to celebrate this week.

And also a tragic reason to remain humble and mournful.

The Counting On couple has shared pictures on Instagram of Lauren's weekend baby shower, which featured a beautiful tribute to the son they lost in a miscarriage last October.

Alongside photos of a rather pregnant Lauren -- hanging out with family and friend at the gathering -- the TLC personalities posted an image of a blue-accented cake with a topper reading "Big Brother Asa."

This, as you likely know if you're reading this article, is the name of the son she and Josiah lost during their first pregnancy.

"So thankful for all the ones that made this day happen and came to shower our sweet baby girl," Lauren wrote as to the photos.

She added:

"It’s hard to fully express into words just how blessed and loved I felt by so many people giving and loving on our daughter.

"Everything was so perfect and thoughtful! It will always be a beautiful memory that I will keep in my heart forever."

Lauren and Josiah announced they were expecting back in May.

This confirmation was surprising, bittersweet and memorable because they had only just told fans about their miscarried child a few months earlier.

"A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” Swanson said in February 2019, while her husband added:

"It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married.

"And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes."

Sometimes, however, it can be the darkest before its very light outside.

And Lauren and Josiah were later blessed with truly amazing news.

Said the reality stars this past spring:

"We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift!

"So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good."

They continued at the time:

“God’s faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort.

"We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall.”

Josiah and Lauren were married on November 1, 2014.

This will be the first little boy or girl they welcome into the world.

They announced in late June that the latter was pregnant with a girl and they've since posted the occasional baby bump photo online.

“Recently, we walked through losing a little one through miscarriage, but we’re excited to have another little one on the way now,” Josiah said in a recent video filmed by TLC, stating alongside his wife:

“We’re just extremely grateful for this baby and just going through a lot really shows us how good God is and that miracles do happen."

Once again, we send our very best wishes to these Duggars.
