Paris Hilton is remembering her grandfather Barron in her own way.

The heiress-turned-reality-tv-star-turned DJ tweeted Friday night about the death of her grandfather, William Barron Hilton, who passed away Thursday at the age of 91.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my grandfather Barron Hilton,” Paris wrote Friday evening. “He was a legend, a visionary, brilliant, handsome, kind and lived a life full of accomplishment and adventure. Ever since I was a little girl I have looked up to him as a businessman.”

“I feel so grateful to have had such an incredible mentor,” she continued. “I always wanted to make him proud. The last conversation we had a few days ago, I told him how much of an impact he had on my life. His spirit, heart and legacy will live on in me.”

In 2007, it was reported that Barron left 97 percent of his vast fortune — estimated then at $2.3 billion — to charity, circumventing his heirs. At the time, Jerry Oppenheimer, author of “House of Hilton,” told The Post that Paris had been an “embarrassment” for the family.
