Issa Rae (“Insecure”) and John Cho (“Star Trek”) will reveal the first batch of nominees at 8:18 a.m. ET with the following categories: original score, animated short, live action short, sound editing, sound mixing, film editing, costume design, actor in a supporting role and actress in a supporting role.
After a short break, Rae and Cho will return to announce the remaining categories at 8:30 a.m. ET: actress in a leading role, actor in a leading role, adapted screenplay, original screenplay, animated feature film, cinematography, directing, documentary feature, documentary short subject, international feature film, makeup and hairstyling, original song, best picture, production design and visual effects.
The 92nd annual Academy Awards ceremony — broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood — airs at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, on ABC.
