Loud nails were the top trend on the 2020 Grammys red carpet

January 26, 2020

The claws came out on the 2020 Grammys red carpet — adorned with crystals, logos and lucky numbers.

Major manicures quickly emerged as the dominant trend at Sunday’s awards show, with nominees, presenters and performers alike rocking sparkling and super-long digits that all but negated the need for jewelry.

Below, a few of the stars who truly nailed the look, from Billie Eilish and her glam Gucci mani to Lizzo’s glittering nod to her many nominations.

Lizzo

The “Truth Hurts” chart-topper had her nails painted white and adorned with dangling diamonds to match her glamorous, Old Hollywood-inspired Atelier Versace gown. In celebration of Lizzo’s eight nods heading into the night, manicurist Eri Ishizu also added a glittering gold number eight to each digit.

Billie Eilish

The “Bad Guy” singer rocked Gucci from head to toe to fingertip, with extra-long square nails decked out in the luxury label’s double-G logo.

Rosalía

Who needs a disco ball when you’ve got the “Con Altura” crooner’s pointy silver tips encrusted in dozens of shimmering stones?

Billy Porter

While the “Pose” actor’s remote-controlled, fringe-trimmed hat might’ve been the star of his Grammys ensemble, his Swarovski-studded silver manicure by Vanessa Sanchez McCullough was nothing to sneeze at.
