Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas honor Kobe Bryant on Grammys 2020 red carpet

January 26, 2020

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas honored Kobe Bryant with their outfits at the 2020 Grammys.

The “Sky Is Pink” actress, 37, and the “Jealous” singer, 27, stepped onto Sunday night’s red carpet wearing subtle nods to the fallen basketball star, who was killed in a helicopter crash shortly before the Jan. 26 awards show.

Chopra wrote Bryant’s jersey number, 24, on one of her nails, while Jonas wore a purple ribbon on the lapel of his suit.

It’s expected that Bryant will be honored during the event, which is taking place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where he played with the Los Angeles Lakers.

“This is heartbreaking. Rest In Peace Kobe,” Jonas tweeted after hearing about Bryant’s death. “Praying for the entire Bryant family and loved ones during this tragic time.”

Chopra wore an embellished Ralph & Russo gown with a neckline that plunged down to well below her belly button, à la Jennifer Lopez’s iconic green Versace from 2000.

The Jonas Brothers are set to perform their latest single, “What A Man Gotta Do,” as well as an unreleased song during the show. They are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Sucker.”
