Al Pacino and Logan Lerman Punch Nazis in First Trailer for Amazon's 'Hunters'

January 04, 2020

From executive producer Jordan Peele, the Academy Award-winning director who helmed the phenomenal horror movies Get Out and Us, comes the latest Amazon original series, Hunters. Off the bat, you'd think this series was about hunters of the traditional sense, but nope. The show, which stars Al Pacino and Logan Lerman, is about a group of Nazi hunters in 1977 New York City.

Inspired by true events, Al Pacino, fresh off Martin Scorsese's The Irishman, plays Meyer Offerman, a Holocaust survivor and the leader of the vigilante Nazi-hunting group. Wanting vengeance and justice after discovering that hundreds of them are living under the radar in the U.S., the group's mission is to find the Nazis and then punch them in the face. But more seriously, the Hunters must stop the Nazi's plan for another genocide before it begins.

The first trailer was released and showcases Pacino's Offerman trying to recruit Logan Lerman's Jonah Heidelbaum into the vigilante group. However, Jerrika Hinton's Millie Malone is on the case and it sounds like she's trying to convince Jonah that there are other ways to take down Nazis without going the violent route. So we'll see what happens.

Hunters also stars Josh Radnor, Tiffany Boone, Kate Mulvaney, Dylan Baker, Greg Austin, Carol Kane, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Saul Rubinek, and Lena Olin. The series, which will consist of ten episodes in Season 1, was created by David Weil and will be available to stream on Amazon Video on February 21, 2020.
