Pete Davidson and Kaia Gerber Spending Time Apart, Probably to Cindy Crawford’s Relief
Oh, friends. It's a bad day for those of you who hinged your own happiness on the success of Pete Davidson and Kaia Gerber's relationship. Here, let's give you a moment (and a soundtrack to mourn to.)
Yes, it must have been love (or something) but it appears to be over now, at least according to People.com, who usually know such things.
I'll let them explain to you in PR-approved speak.
The stars, who were first linked in October, haven't been seen together in weeks. According to E! News, Davidson is "taking a break to work on his mental health," putting his relationship with the model on the back-burner.
OK, so I guess People.com doesn't really have the full scoop but it's better this way, getting the news from me, who got it from People, who got it from E! News, who got it from god knows where. Now you can continue on as another link in the chain of celebrity gossip dissemination. It's the circle of life...sort of.
E! via People, has more details:
E! reports that Gerber "doesn't know if she wants to continue in their relationship," and that while she "cares about Pete and wants him to get better," their future is "up in the air." A separate [sic] told E! that Davidson "understands" how Gerber feels and there is "no bad blood between the two."
It sounds like Pete and Kaia are bummed but not devastated, if that helps you come to terms with this news. One person who is probably neither bummed nor devastated is Kaia's mom, Cindy Crawford, who starred in Fair Game in 1995, a movie that was equal parts terrible and awesome and for some reason, doesn't get talked about anymore.
The couple made headlines last month when Gerber's parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, were seen having a tense-looking conversation outside of their daughter's New York City apartment building in a video obtained by Page Six. Davidson left the building before both parents re-entered.
It was widely rumored that Cindy was not a fan of the relationship, but maybe you were, so condolences. I only know three Roxette songs, so here's their second-best one (I know) to play us out of this word sandwich I've created and don't know how to end.
