Charlize Theron got more than a handshake when Taika Waititi greeted her as she left the Lindt chocolate-sponsored lounge backstage at the Golden Globes.

“She was leaving to enter the ballroom for the start of the show and she had a martini in her hand. Taika, who was [hanging] outside on the terrace with Shailene [Woodley] and Ansel [Elgort], went up to approach her, but he instead took a sip of her drink while she was still holding it. They both laughed,” a spy told us.

Presenters Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were also spotted in the lounge, but “hung back and shared a quiet moment when the show started. It was nearly empty.”
