Power players head to St. Moritz for wedding of Dasha Zhukova and Stavros Niarchos
Stars and power players will flock to St. Moritz this weekend for the wedding of Dasha Zhukova and Stavros Niarchos, sources exclusively told Page Six.
Just over 300 guests are expected to celebrate the nuptials in a glam, “enormous party tent” at the Olympic ski jump in the Swiss Alps town. The couple’s known to be pals with the likes of David Geffen, Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner, Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, Mellody Hobson and celeb jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer. Zhukova’s also plugged into the art world as a collector and the creator of Garage Magazine.
A Swiss source added that the wedding party’s booked up the grand Kulm Hotel. A
nother local quipped to us that “the wedding tent is about half the size of the Ambani tent,” referring to last year’s over-the-top bash for 500 thrown by Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, for his son, where Chris Martin and the Chainsmokers played and guests included Priyanka Chopra and Tony Blair.
Another source said, “There’s lots of affection for the Niarchos family in [St. Moritz] — looks like it will be a beautiful affair.”
The source added that “the big wedding is a convenient hop to those heading to Davos World Economic Forum in Switzerland,” which starts Tuesday.
Page Six exclusively reported over the summer that Zhukova and Niarchos were engaged.
Reports said the pair had an intimate wedding ceremony in Paris for family in October.
Zhukova was previously married to billionaire Roman Abramovich.
Last month, she was spotted in St. Barts on Geffen’s yacht with fellow guests Kloss and Kushner, as well as Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.
