Department of Transportation? More like the Department of Corrections.

A not-to-be-named copy editor — who apparently doesn’t leave his or her work at the office — noted to Page Six that the DOT has managed to absolutely mangle the name of one of its fellow city departments on its signs. The parking signs outside the Parks & Recreation Department’s Arsenal West HQ on 61 Street reads, “Authorized vehicles only: Department of Parks and Recrecation.”

You’d think the folks in charge of vehicles would have “auto” correct.
