Tim Malcolm Claps Back After Dean Hashim Spreads Trangender Rumors

September 25, 2019

Even from the moment that the first 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way trailer was released, fans have been buzzing about TIm Malcolm.

Unfortunately, some viewers have decided that his style, mannerisms, and self-care routines bring up questions about his sexuality or even gender.

Now, Pillow Talk star Dean Hashim has made some disappointing and frankly shocking comments, suggesting that Tim must be trransgender.

For the record, Tim Malcolm has unfortunately seen and addressed weird comments before.

"I have never had a problem having a girlfriend," Tim wrote some time ago. "So clearly there are some women who like men like me."

Jeniffer Taranoza, all drama aside, certainly seems to be one of them.

"Yes, I knew I would have haters," Tim acknowledged, though he admitted: "The transgender comments were not expected."

Does he consider himself to be feminine? No. He does accept the "metrosexual" label, outdated though it may be.

Dean Hashim and Tarik's commentary during 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk have made them fan favorites.

Dean spoke on a recent episode of The Domenick Nati Show, and his comments about Tim were ... deeply unfortunate.

"They way [Tim] crossed his legs, man, it don’t look like he got a pair of balls between 'em," Dean said.

"I don’t know man, I can’t even cross my legs like that man, I’m blessed, you know what I mean?" he claims.

"I can’t cross my legs like that," Dean repeats. "He crosses his legs more feminine than she do."

"Here’s what I’m thinking, cause look man, me and my brother was saying the other day," Dean unfortunately continues.

Of Tarik: "He was like, ‘Yo, I think that used to be a female that turned himself into a man. He trying to grow up here, you know..'"

"'It ain’t ready, it ain’t fresh out the oven yet man. He can’t pull his pants down yet you know?'" Dean allegedly quotes his brother.

He concludes: "'I think what it is, when they get that sex change, they gotta give it time for that peter to grow, like a sprout.'"

There's a lot to unpack there, but first, Tim has seen and responded to this.

"Now even the cast with this s--t," Tim laments on Instagram.

"Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots," he advises his fans and followers.

He then quotes song lyrics by Dr. Dre feat. Eminem and X-Zibit, from the song "What's the Difference?"

"Just keep my name outta your mouth / And we can keep it the same Dean," Tim's message comes across.

That seems very fair.

So, first of all, and most importantly, spreading rumors about someone's sexuality or gender or whether they might be transgender is not okay.

It's not just that it's disrespectful to them and to entire communities, it can sometimes flat-out put them in danger.

But it's also important to acknowledge that self-care, like taking care of nail health or your skin, has nothing to do with gender or sexuality.

Toxic masculinity, which pervades multiple cultures, prevents some men from taking proper care of their bodies.

Also, Crossing your legs at the knee is traditional "good manners" for men crossing their legs. And no, it is not somehow prevented by genitals.

To spell it out: testicles move under pants. And if you can't cross your legs due to your dong, see a urologist. You have an infection.

We have to say that we are deeply fascinated by how Dean seems to think that bottom surgery -- also claled gender confirmation surgery -- works.

Though it would be amazing if those who wanted them could simply grow a penis, medical technology is simply not there yet.

While many trans men experience dysphoria and some do so over their genitals, the majority of trans men get testosterone and top surgery (breast removal).

That misunderstanding on Dean's part seems kind of endearing, but his (and allegedly Tarik's) comments are not.

Labeling a cisgender person as trans isn't just rude to a lot of people -- it's transphobic.

It would be nice to see Dean issue an apology. If not ... seeing him and Tarik on future seasons of Pillow Talk would be awkward at best.
