Prince Harry really, really worked that red carpet to get Meghan work

Prince Harry really, really worked the red carpet at London’s Lion King premiere to get his wife, Meghan, a voiceover job.

A week after the Daily Mail reported that Harry made a pitch at the July premiere to Disney boss Bob Iger — telling him, “You know, she does voiceovers” — the Mail has unearthed still more earnest efforts on Meghan’s behalf from the Prince from that same red carpet.

“If anyone needs any extra voiceover work — ” Harry begins while buttonholing the film’s director, Jon Favreau, according to footage obtained by the Mail.

At that point, Meghan cuts in.

“That’s really why we’re here — it’s the pitch!” she jokes.

Harry responds, “Just not Scar,” a reference to the Lion King film’s evil uncle.

Within half a year, Meghan got her job.

The Times of London reported last week that Meghan had signed a voiceover deal with The Walt Disney Company for work on an undisclosed project.

In lieu of a direct payment — royals are barred from earning money — Disney reportedly made a donation to Elephants Without Borders, a wildlife charity that is a pet project of Harry and Meghan’s.
