Prince Harry once confronted David Beckham over fears that his pop star wife, Victoria, was leaking stories about the royal’s then-fiancée, Meghan Markle, it was claimed Sunday.

The paranoid prince confronted his concerns “head-on” by confronting Becks in an “awkward exchange” that left the 45-year-old sportsman “mortified,” according to The Sun.

It “made things awkward for a while” between the pair, and sparked a “cooling of relations” between the couples which took several months to repair, sources told the UK paper.

The Duke and Duchess of York were first concerned that former Spice Girls star Victoria, 45, may have been leaking to the press in Dec. 2017 when articles appeared saying the pair were becoming best friends.

Meghan was “really pleased” with recommendations Posh Spice made for facialists, hairdressers and stylists to use on her then-move to London, reports at the time said.

“Meghan was furious,” a source told The Sun.

“Inexplicably, she feared Victoria was behind it — I mean, the idea that Victoria Beckham would be personally ringing journalists to give them a scoop is ridiculous — and spoke to Harry about it.

“Harry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David.

“Harry was very polite, but obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified.

“He quickly put Harry right, and the two men agreed to move on — but it certainly made things awkward for a while.”

The Beckhams were among the celebrity guests at the Sussexes’ royal wedding a few months later, in May 2018, but were “conspicuous by their absence” from the evening do after the ceremony, The Sun noted.

However, the couples eventually “got things back on track,” the source said.
