Omar Hernandez returned to his roots with the opening of his new dining club, Omar’s La Boîte.

The nightlife impresario left his original Greenwich Village location to launch Omar at Vaucluse for the uptown set, such as regulars Kimberly Guilfoyle and Ramona Singer. La Boîte promised to bring back some grit: At its opening, Kevin Aviance spun for a crowd including Ann Dexter-Jones, Alina Baikova, Chong Cha, George Wayne, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Young Paris, John Demsey and photographer Rose Hartman, whose pic of Bianca Jagger decorated the venue. Emily Shephard, Duane Gosa and Julie M. Smith performed.

Hernadez’s UES clientele also came out. “You can tell this is the coolest thing to ever happen to them. They’re like, ‘Oh my God, we’re all the way down here.’ And that one lady in her Fendi probably regrets wearing those shoes no one can see,” a jaded reveler sniped.
