LeeAnne Locken exiting ‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ to focus on philanthropy
Fare Lee well.
LeeAnne Locken is exiting ‘Real Housewives of Dallas,’ People Magazine is reporting.
Locken, 52, has been a full-time cast member of the show for four years — her wedding to Rich Emberlin, 57, notched the previous season’s highest ratings — though she described the past year as “very personally challenging for me,” in a statement.
“I am looking forward to stepping away from the cameras and spending quality time with my husband and friends, traveling, but most importantly, getting back to philanthropy, which was my main reason for joining the show,” the statement continued.
“Thank you to everyone who has laughed and cried with me along the way,” Locken concludes. “It’s been an amazing journey, and yes my pantyliner is still exhausted. There are so many exciting things on my horizon that I can’t wait to share with you.”
Texas native Locken is a lifetime veteran of the entertainment industry, having spent the summers of her youth on the carnival circuit with her mother. She graduated to modeling, landing a top 10 spot in the 1989 Miss USA pageant, and from there, proceeded to commercials and guest spots on series like “GCB” and “Walker, Texas Ranger.”
Oddly enough for a Texan, her most visible big-screen role was as Kelly Beth Kelley, Miss Nebraska, in 2000’s classic “Miss Congeniality” alongside Sandra Bullock.
The fifth season of “RHOD” has not yet begun filming, and Bravo has not made a statement on its cast list yet.
