Lady Gaga has announced the release date of her next single, "Stupid Love." Mark your calendars for Friday, February 28 at midnight eastern time. The announcement came from the singer's official Twitter account and was denoted by a billboard with the name of the song graffitied onto it.
"Stupid Love" will be the first single off of Lady Gaga's sixth studio album, though the official title of the release has yet to be revealed. In the interim, Gaga is using "LG6" as a placeholder for the album's name. The singer dramatically announced she was "pregnant" with new music at the start of last year, and it seems she's finally ready to bring some new hits into the world for public consumption.

The billboard does include the word "Chromatica," which Lady Gaga fans are already speculating to be the name of the upcoming album. While the film will officially be released this Friday, "Stupid Love" was leaked online last month and went viral on Twitter in a matter of hours. Naturally, the singer simply tweeted a "can y'all stop" in response.
Lady Gaga's last major hit was "Shallow," which was the lead single released from the A Star is Born soundtrack. She performed the song at the 2019 Oscars alongside co-star Bradley Cooper and their chemistry was so good that people started wondering whether they were dating. Good times. Prior to the soundtrack to the film, however, Lady Gaga's last solo album was 2016's Joanne. It's been a while and it'll be refreshing to get some new music from the talented singer and songwriter.
Lady Gaga's sixth studio album does not yet have a release date.
