RuPaul surprised Nordstrom shoppers at its new 57th Street location on Sunday.

The Emmy-winning drag icon danced and had private conversations with guests. His advice for the best holiday gift was “kindness and self-love!”

One fan said, “He actually had the funniest quote about picking presents for children. He said, ‘Let their parents worry about that!’”

And he explained that giving gifts is something that should be done all year-round. He said, “‘Life is a gift. Life is a beautiful gift. I have a beautiful body and a beautiful life. I’m going to celebrate it 365 days a year,’” a guest told us.

RuPaul was there to celebrate the launch of the store’s “Best Gift Ever!” curated by vice president of creative projects Olivia Kim.
