Kim Kardashian horrified over false story claiming she gave North JFK’s bloody shirt

December 30, 2019

Kim Kardashian expressed horror Monday over a story published by an entertainment website that reported erroneous information claiming she gifted her daughter the shirt President John F. Kennedy wore when he was assassinated.

“WOW this is obviously fake!,” Kardashian tweeted while mentioning Refinery29 — the online outlet that featured a phony Instagram post made by a hoaxer.

“I did not get JKF’s shirt. That is a sick joke that someone tweeted as a fake ig story that I never posted.”

The phony Instagram post showed a photo from the National Archives of Kennedy’s blood-soaked white dress shirt from when he was shot dead on November 22, 1963, in Dallas.

The caption of the post read: “Along with the Michael Jackson’s jacket and hat, North also got the shirt John. F. Kennedy wore when he was assassinated.”

A screenshot of the fake post was captured by BuzzFeed writer Nina Mohan.

Refinery29 has since updated the story that detailed Kardashian’s “puzzling” Christmas gifts she got for her daughter, North West.

“This story has been updated from the original version,” the site notes. “Earlier, it included a falsified Instagram image, which has been removed.”

Before the correction, the site expressed their shock at the “gift.”

“Perhaps even more surprising, though, was that she also gave North the shirt President John F. Kennedy was wearing when he was shot and killed,” according to another screenshot from Mohan.

“What is North West going to do with JFK’s bloody shirt? And why isn’t it in a museum?” the original story said.
