Teddi Mellencamp: Yup, I Got Fired From the Real Housewives!
As previously detailed, Teddi Mellencamp gets negative points for her horriibly dangerous and cruel so-called wellness plan.
However, the reality star now at least deserves some points for honesty.
We guess.
The 39-year old confiirmed on Tuesday evening that she will NOT return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2021.
And she's admitted that this was not her decision.
"Hey guys, just here, hangin' with baby Dove," Teddi said in an Instagram video, prior to revealing the news.
"I don't want to bore you, but I figured I could give you a little update on what's going on. I recently found out that my contract as a Housewife is not being renewed."
Mellencamp joined the popular show in 2017, and continued with complete candor:
"Of course I could give you the standard response of, 'Oh we both came to the decision that it would be best.'
"Nah, I'm not going to do that -- that's not who I am. Of course when I got the news I was sad. It feels like a breakup, almost.
"Because you develop such strong relationships with the cast, with the crew. And you get to do incredible things that you probably never get to experience without the show."
Rumors that Teddi was on her way out first started to run rampant a few days ago.
She's been under fire for All In by Teddi, a business that asks customers to pay up to $600 in order to be assigned a wellness coach.
These patrons are then required to constantly provide these coaches with daily weight and diet check-ins.
If you drink alcohol? If you eat too many calories? You're kicked out of the program and no money is refunded.
Mellencamp has defended the company and all it stands for, taking pride in the thousands of people she claims to have helped.
Insiders, though, allege that Teddi was not let go due to the controversy surrounding this program.
Instead, producers reportedly didn't want her back because she's just... boring.
"The network has not been impressed with her performance on the show," a source told The Daily Mail this week.
"She is boring and stale and does not offer anything to the franchise with her robotic and staged delivery when interacting with the other cast members.
"The issue is, the other cast members don’t particularly like her and beyond Kyle [Richards], no one is friends with her."
Ouch, huh?
Teddi seems to be taking the development in stride, however.
"I'm really looking forward to the future and being able to focus on my family, my friends, all in," she said in her video yesterday.
"I really feel like I have some exciting things ahead. And you know what? I'm pretty busy with this lil' nuggs," she added, panning the camera to 6-month-old daughter Dove.
Concluded Teddi: "So, thanks for coming along on this journey with me and I'll see you soon."
Bravo has not yet commented on its decision to not renew Teddi's contract.
However, it does appear as if The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will look very different next season.
Just a few days ago, Denise Richards announced she's done with the show, prompting us to ask:
Who will you miss more, Teddi or Denise?
