Naya Rivera’s sister spoke out in defense of her late sister’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, moving in with her following Rivera’s death.

“In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family,” Nickayla, 25, posted on her Instagram Story. “Showing up for my nephew even though I can’t show up for myself.”

Nickayla said she was “not concerned” with the appearance of the decision, seemingly responding to social media users who found the decision a bit strange.

“I’m not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure,” she continued. “What matters most I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moment of life for granted.

“I hope you all can do the same.”

Nickayla, along with Dorsey’s parents, is helping raise his 5-year-old son Josey, whom 37-year-old Dorsey shared with the late “Glee” star. They’ve moved into a three-bedroom rental in the San Fernando Valley.

Rivera died on July 8 from drowning at age 33 while swimming with Josey in Lake Piru. Josey, who was found safe on their boat, later told investigators that he heard his mom yell “help” before succumbing to the currents.
