Fall Television (and Some Belated Spring Television) Returns!

September 27, 2020

The Walking Dead Universe Preview Special on AMC at 8:00pm ET. One-hour special presentation.

The Simpsons on Fox at 8:00pm ET. 32 Season Premiere. I find it fascinating how long The Simpsons has existed as a show in contrast to how much of it people consider "Classic" Simpsons.

Bob's Burgers on Fox at 9:00pm ET. 11th season premiere.

The Comey Rule on Showtime at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. I have 0 interest in this because I cannot stomach a polished version of the disaster we are still attempting to survive. However, despite the word "series" here, this is really just two "episodes" which begs the question "why?" again.

Fargo on FX at 9:00pm ET. Fourth season premiere. There's also an after-show show premiering right after this, if those are your thing. I've found that when I've watched them they contain either exactly 30 second of novelty (examples for Inside the Boys those were that Anthony Starr is UNRECOGNIZABLE out of his Homelander character and Black Noir is kinda foxy when you can see his face) or information that was deliberately withheld in order to make the after-show extra juicy. I guess for Fargo they could also emphasize stuff that people just glossed over because the shows tend to be SO dialogue heavy but where's the fun in that?
