Gisele Bündchen is always ready for some football.
The 40-year-old supermodel, who has been married to Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady for 11 years, frequently shows her support for the six-time Super Bowl champ on game days. Last week, she posted a sweet video with the couple’s kids, daughter Vivian, 7, and son Benjamin, 10, in Tampa Bay gear.
“Let’s go Bucs, let’s go papai!!!!” Bündchen captioned the Instagram clip.
It appears Bündchen was the Buccaneers’ good luck charm as they got their first win on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
With the Denver Broncos next on the Buccaneers’ schedule, time will tell how Bündchen celebrates Brady during Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season.
She always has Brady’s back
Leading up to Super Bowl 2019 between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, Bündchen posted a snap of herself embracing Brady, 43, on the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
“I got your back!” she captioned the shot.
Brady, in his final Super Bowl appearance as a Patriot, led New England to a 13-3 victory over the Rams.
Not backing down when it comes to Bill Belichick
In the seasons leading up to Brady’s departure from New England, cracks in the Patriots’ dynasty were beginning to show, notably the quarterback’s relationship with head coach Bill Belichick.
Following New England’s 2018 Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Bündchen allegedly joined Brady for a meeting with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, where they are said to have discussed Belichick’s treatment of the quarterback, according to Jeff Benedict’s book, “The Dynasty.”
“She also pointed out how ridiculous it was that after all these years, Belichick still treated Brady like ‘f—–g Johnny Foxboro.’ It was bad enough to never voice approval. It was bulls–t to still be dressing down the most accomplished quarterback in league history during team meetings and treating his personal trainer and best friend like some kind of outcast,” the book detailed via NBC Sports Boston.
The Brady era in New England came to an end in March when he signed a two-year, $50 million deal with the Buccaneers. The Patriots have since moved on with veteran quarterback Cam Newton.
Saying farewell to the Patriots
New England will forever be in Bündchen’s heart.
Once Brady officially signed with the Buccaneers, the Brazilian beauty posted a touching message to Instagram in March, reflecting on their life in Boston.
“What a ride the last decade has been. Boston has been so good to us and will always be in our hearts. We will forever have wonderful memories,” she began.
Sharing a collection of images from over the years, Bündchen also posted photos of Brady’s three children, including 13-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
“Our kids were born and raised there and we have made special friendships to last a lifetime,” she continued. “I’ll miss our friends, the beautiful change of seasons and the rides to the stadium to go cheer for Tom and the Pats. Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my husband and our family throughout all these years.”
In October 2019, the couple slashed the price of their Boston mansion. This spring, they relocated to Derek Jeter’s Tampa mansion.
Fun and games off the field
Brady may have fun on the field, but he and Bündchen can laugh away from the game, too.
In May, the couple gave fans a peek at the inner-workings of their marriage, taking part in a viral TikTok challenge. Brady and Bündchen both agreed that she is the funniest of the two, while the quarterback is considered the most patient and the most spoiled.
Earlier this spring, Brady also spoke candidly about their relationship’s ups and downs, telling Howard Stern he had to adapt in years past when Bündchen “wasn’t satisfied” with their marriage.
The pair started dating in early 2007, around the time Moynahan found out she was pregnant and carrying Brady’s child.
“It wasn’t the ideal situation for anyone — there’s no manual to prepare you for that,” Bündchen told People in 2018.
“But I’m so grateful for [Bridget],” she continued. “I know this was hard, but I couldn’t imagine my life without [Jack]. I call him my bonus child.”
No one celebrates like she does
It should come as no surprise that Bündchen’s got the best celebration reel.
Back in January 2019, the supermodel let loose at home after the Patriots defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. In a clip posted to her Instagram story, Bündchen can be seen yelling, “Let’s go!” while cheering the TV.
A month later, Bündchen celebrated Brady’s Super Bowl win on the field.
