Kailyn Lowry: Jo Rivera Mom-Shamed Me for Attending a Funeral!

September 16, 2020

As has been very well documented for months now, Kailyn Lowry has plenty of issues with her third baby daddy.

The Teen Mom 2 star has a pair of kids with Chris Lopez -- and many more problems than that with her occasional lover.

On the latest episode of this MTV reality series, however, Lowry clashed not with her most recent baby daddy. But with her very first.

A week after clashing with Jo Rivera over the ex-couple's son, Isaac, not wanting to see Jo's mother, Kailyn went at it this Tuesday night with Rivera himself.

This time, feud was sparked by Lowry attending a funeral in Texas after losing both her grandma and her sister’s mother in the same week.

It was a "rough period,' Kailyn said on air, quite understandably.

And it was made all the rougher because “going to the funerals caused a big fight with Jo," she explained.

The mother of four delved into these frustrations when talking to her friend, Kristen, detailing how another friend, Rachel, watched her sons while she attended a service in Texas.

“Jo and me got into a huge fight. When I was leaving the funeral, he was texting me horrible things, like he doesn’t leave Isaac with anyone but blood family," Kailyn said.

“And I was like, ‘Literally I don’t have blood family. I don’t have a mom, I don’t have a dad, I don’t have these people so your point?’'

To hear Lowry tell it, Jo's response was booth cruel and insensitive in nature.

“He never asked me who died and asking if I care about my kids," she claimed to Rachel, adding:

“I said I’m leaving a funeral. I couldn’t stop crying."

The reality star then read aloud a text message she said she received from her Rivera, with whom she shares 10-year-old son Isaac.

“I 1000 percent overreacted last night. And for that I apologize," she allegedly quoted Jo as saying over his phone.

He even continued, according to Kailyn, seemingly trying to iron out the issues between the exes as follows:

“Given our history I want to make sure I can trust you again so I am scrutinizing your actions.

“I hope you and I both have better days today."

Why would he not trust her, Kailyn demanded to know?!?

"Maybe we can have a real conversation about trust. I made the mistake of not telling you straight how I feel and for that I’m letting it come out in my actions," Jo replied, which prompted a defensive response from Lowry.

And an aggressive one.

"I do what I have to do. I take care of Isaac," she fumed.

"I pay for his health insurance. I make all his appointments. Make sure that he has everything that he needs."

Lowry then cited last episode's argument over Isaac not wanting to see his father as possiible motivation behind Rivera's stance here.

"I don’t know if he’s starting to feel rejection from Isaac because Isaac doesn’t want to go over there," she theorized to her friend.

When this awkward issue came up last week, Kailyn didn't trash Jo to his son. Quite the opposite, in fact, telling the child:

“You’re so lucky because some parents that split up and have a kid or more than one kid, one of the parents isn’t always there.

"You’re very lucky your dad wants to be there and spend the time with you."

Lowry, of course, is also mom to Lincoln, 6, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin; and sons Lux, 3, and one-month old Creed with ex Lopez - whom she is also currently feuding with as well.

She says she's ready to have a fifth kid.

But we think this is a poor idea.
