Dan Levy nods to ‘Schitt’s Creek’ finale in Thom Browne kilt at Emmys 2020

The “Schitt’s Creek” cast is not holding back with their Emmys 2020 virtual red carpet looks.

Dan Levy, the show’s creator, writer and star, led the pack with a bold Thom Browne suit which included a gray blazer ($1,490), white button-up shir ($330), tie ($190) and matching kilt. He even finished the look with Thom Browne socks, boots and a matching face mask to make the look COVID-friendly.

The gender-bending designer was a fitting choice for Levy, 37, as the star wore a similar suit and kilt for the finale of “Schitt’s Creek” in which his character, David Rose, marries his fiancé Patrick.

“I am always a fan of anyone who is true to his or herself … this is true fashion … this is true style,” Browne told WWD of the scene. “I like to showcase these people in any way possible … We need more people like this in the world … bravo [to Levy] for his bravery and leadership.”

It wasn’t just Levy’s outfit that made headlines at the virtual award show. The series swept in multiple categories — including Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series for Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Levy himself won for both Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
