Marty Tankleff, exonerated in parents’ murder, meets ‘Just Mercy’ actor

February 16, 2020

Long Island native Marty Tankleff — exonerated after serving 17 years in prison in the murder of his parents — had a serendipitous meeting with “Just Mercy” actor Rob Morgan at Brooklyn Chop House.

Tankleff was celebrating being admitted to the state bar, as Morgan sat nearby with his publicist. (“Just Mercy” stars Morgan and Michael B. Jordan.)

“Marty was telling [Rob] how he was just teaching in a Georgetown University classroom and they watched ‘Just Mercy,'” a spy told Page Six.

Morgan plays a real-life Vietnam War vet suffering from PTSD, who was sentenced to death in 1977.
