As the creator of a string of shows about relationships, Mara Brock Akil could be said to be something of an expert on love lives. And she told us that this Valentine’s Day single folks should consider avoiding flashy partners.

“When it comes to picking men, a lot of us want the ballers, but they come with a price,” she told Page Six at the premiere of “The Photograph” at the SVA Theatre.

“Not to say that they are horrible people, but there is a certain price in that, and we are overlooking dedicated men who may have less.”
