Tamar Braxton reveals she’s contemplated suicide multiple times

Tamar Braxton reveals on Wednesday’s episode of the “Tamron Hall” show that she has contemplated suicide more than once.

The 43-year-old is speaking out following her attempted suicide in July, when she was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles hotel room.

“There’s been a time when I wanted to,” Braxton, 43, tells Hall in an exclusive clip obtained by Page Six, “but this is the first time I [acted on it].”

She continues, “It’s been a lot of dark, hard times. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety due to a circumstance.”

The former reality star says she’s “not medicated” but she’s in counseling every day.

During the talk show interview, Hall asks Braxton if the reports of her overdosing on prescription medications were accurate, but she declines to answer because she doesn’t “want to give any examples” to her fans. Following her initial hospitalization, Braxton was moved to a different hospital for “further evaluation and treatment.”

“But what I will say is that was my lowest point of life,” she shares.

Since recovering, Braxton has been feuding with her former network WeTV after it used her suicide attempt in the new trailer for “Braxton Family Values,” of which she’s no longer a part.
