What Olivia Culpo learned in quarantine

September 17, 2020

Looking back at life in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, Olivia Culpo is grateful for the special moments she was able to share with loved ones.

“The quarantine taught me a really valuable lesson about slowing down and enjoying the people close to you,” the 28-year-old model recently told Page Six. “I started some really valuable practices like journaling every morning and trying to mediate more.”

Culpo, who boasts over 4.7 million Instagram followers, frequently shared snippets of her quarantine lifestyle, which included birthday celebrations and a prom-themed night with her boyfriend, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, 24. During the pandemic, Culpo also stepped up in a unique way, launching the More Than a Mask endeavor.

“I know these times have been so tough on so many people and I think about that often. We have to stick together and lift each other up because some days are just harder than others,” she said.

Now settled into her Los Angeles home, Culpo is back on the go and teaming up with Crest Whitening Emulsions.

“I have become obsessed. It’s a teeth whitener you can leave on, so unlike a white strip, you just swipe this one on and that is it,” Culpo explained.

While sheet masks, a “good tinted moisturizer,” and an eyelash curler are among Culpo’s prime picks, water is key.

“First and foremost I always say — water. Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated,” she said.

In addition to recently sharing beauty secrets with fans on social media, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit stunner has also posted recipe ideas, just in time for kickoff.

“I love to cook for friends and watch the game,” Culpo said.

Although the game day experience will be different this season due to the pandemic, specifically the absence of fans at stadiums, intimate gatherings could be on the table for Culpo, possibly with a sweet surprise.

“Entertaining is one of my favorite things to do, and although during this time it’s probably just for a small group of family — it is still fun to try new recipes,” she said. “Maybe a crazy football-themed cake is in my future!”
