Wendy Williams gearing up for show’s return with new set, COVID-19 protocols

September 20, 2020

Wendy Williams is returning to the studio on Monday to kick off her new season, sources said.

“There’s going to be a new, tweaked set with new doors and she’s bringing some items from her apartment,” an insider told Page Six.

Williams appeared on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” this week and dished on why she refused to shoot at home.

“I live in an apartment and it was very personal to me for people to see my area, and people criticized and couldn’t understand my groove,” she said.

Williams’ studio audience, whom she dubs as her “co-hosts,” will appear virtually and guest interviews will be “mostly Zoom, with some socially distanced cooking demos on the set,” our insider related. Williams will also adhere to strict COVID-19 guidelines.

“There are temperature checks and a whole medical team on-site with regular testing,” the source said.
