What a difference a season makes for “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Denise Richards.

Richards, 49, opened up about her two-season run on the Bravo series on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show” Tuesday, explaning that her experience on Season 10 has been “very different” compared to when she joined the cast for Season 9.

“I went in very naive I think, the very first season,” Richards said. “I want to be myself because some people do know of me and I didn’t want to play a character, otherwise, let’s call it scripted. So I just wanted to be myself on the show, and whatever happens, happens and just react how I really would.”

Although Richards built “some great friendships” with the cast — which also includes Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Teddi Mellencamp, Dorit Kemsley, and Season 10 newcomers, Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke — her sophomore season on the show hasn’t been the same.

“This season’s been very different for me … it’s been a different experience,” Richards explained, later quipping, “But people are watching so that’s good.”

Earlier this month, former “Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville revealed the intimate details of her alleged affair with Richards in a new trailer for the show. In the same preview, a headline addresses the allegations, with Richards — who has been married to Aaron Phypers since 2018 — saying, “What the f–k? That is not true.”

In February, Richards quashed rumors claiming she and Phypers, 47, had an open marriage, telling a fan: “Absolutely not. 100% monogamous to my husband.”

Page Six was also previously told that Richards stopped filming the show after being confronted by her co-stars.

“We wrapped in December,” Richards said Tuesday, noting she “missed two parties … towards the end.”

“I didn’t stop filming and I actually think I filmed something on FaceTime for one of the parties. The other party I did not go to,” she continued. “We completely wrapped for the season and then we do our confessionals and everything.”

As for the show’s current hiatus, Richards believes the show has gotten “so far behind with the confessionals” due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We just recently started doing them where we’re filming ourselves, basically. We have someone come in and set everything up with masks,” Richards explained.

Richards also teased of the season, “If it airs the way it was shot, then people will see what happened.”

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
