Emmy-nominated actress Niecy Nash is headed for splitsville.

The “Claws” star announced via social media that she and husband, Jay Tucker, will be going their separate ways after amicably agreeing they are better off as friends.

“We believe in the beauty of truth. Always have,“ began the note from Nash on Instagram. “Our truth is that in this season of our lives, we are better friends than partners in marriage. Our union was such a gorgeous ride. And as we go our separate ways now, we feel fortunate for the love we share — present tense. Thank you all out there for your support of us as a couple over the last eight years. We are grateful.”

According to sources at The Daily Mail, the split is largely due to the couple spending extended time apart while Nash worked on “Claws.” Tucker reportedly also had a problem with Nash’s more graphic scenes on the show.

“Niecy got a brand new body right before she went to film “Claws” down in New Orleans and that’s when their troubles began,” claims the source. “Jay was really uncomfortable with her graphic sex scenes on the show and that made their problems worse. They were living in two different cities and Jay expressed he didn’t like his wife being in New Orleans while he was in LA.”

Nash and Tucker married in 2011. The actress was previously married to minister Don Dash, with whom she shares three children.
