The death of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video co-star Rick “Zombie Boy” Genest was officially ruled an accident on Monday.
The heavily-tattooed Canadian model and artist died at 32 of head trauma after falling from the third-floor balcony of a relative’s Montreal apartment, Quebec coroner Melissa Gagnon wrote in her report.
“It was an accidental death,” Gagnon wrote.
When Genest’s body was found Aug. 1, 2018, rumors swirled that he’d committed suicide, since medical records showed he’d sought help for mental health problems in the past.
Gaga — a friend of the model’s — pushed that theory herself in a since-deleted tweet and was forced to apologize for speculating Genest had taken his own life.
The coroner’s report found there was no “clear and unequivocal intention to end his life.”
It also revealed Genest had marijuana and a high blood alcohol level in his system at the time of the fatal fall.
“Some close friends reported that he heard voices, particularly when he used substances,” the coroner’s report said.
“However, Mr. Genest did not seem to be in a state of psychosis or delirium when he went out on the balcony.”
The catwalker — who walked runways for Thierry Mugler and Jay-Z’s ready-to-wear collection — had nearly 90 percent of his body covered in tattoos, including a skull on his face and a brain on his head.
Appearing in Gaga’s 2011 music video launched him to international fame.
