When Her Child Crashes a Live Broadcast, Dr. Clare Wenham Gracefully Manages Parenting and Work
Today is July 2nd, 111 days since Tom and Rita Day, and if you have children who have been home all day, every day, for all 111 days, God bless you. If you've also had to work full-time and those children are young, you deserve all the medals, a liquor cabinet that never runs dry, and a month of free babysitting when this is all over.
Now, if you are a doctor and you had to do all of that while being interviewed about our current public health crisis on live television while also managing your daughter, you are a superwoman. To wit: Meet Dr. Clare Wenham and her daughter, Scarlett, who is really torn about where to hang her unicorn photo.

There is an excellent post-script to that hard-hitting story, as well. The unicorn has found a semi-permanent home:
We've decided on a shelf for the unicorn.

Excellent multi-tasking, Doctor.
The Twitters were very impressed with Dr. Wehham, as well:
HUGE respect to multi-tasking marvel and Global Health Policy expert Dr Clare Wenham - juggling interview with @christianfraser on @BBCNews while wrangling lively daughter Scarlet. #MumPower

Shout out to Dr Clare Wenham (BBC News Channel clip), @haynesdeborah (Sky News) and all other working mums out there juggling their jobs and childcare during this period. I don't know how you're doing it, but you're bossing it - hats off to all WFH parents 👏

Wonderful to see the realities of homeworking for parents. And thank you to the presenter for making it OK and for talking to the child too.
