You may not believe this, but David Eason has gone off on a social media rant against MTV, the Teen Mom franchise and an alleged double standard that he believes makes him a victim.
Wait, what?
You absolutely do believe this? Fair point.
Early Wednesday morning -- like, really early; like, around 4 a.m. -- Eason jumped on Facebook to direct some serious anger at both Cheyenne Floyd and one Teen Mom producer in particular.
Eason seemed flummoxed and pissed off that he was fired years ago for making supposedly inappropriate remarks...
... while Floyd remains employed by the network despite some question comments of her own.
“Cheyenne Floyd has so much privilege she can say the most racist things out of anyone, delete her apology but still not fired?” David wrote, tagging wife Jenelle Evans in the status.
To catch you up, here is what Eason is referring to:
Back in 2011, Floyd Tweeted: “My mom said I can’t see [the movie] ‘The Help,’ she knows I already have a problem with white people.”
Cheyenne later added: "Last night I saw [‘The Help’] and I wanted to kill every white person I saw."
That same year, Floyd retweeted the following message:
"[Cheyenne] and [redacted] are the only Nazi-loving, black power-having, ‘kill-a-white-baby-if-I-could’ people I can accept & adore."
Yikes, right?
Very bad form and very troubling indeed.
Floyd has since apologized for these missteps, but it is worth noting that Taylor Selfridge got fired by MTV this summer for her own racist past.
And yet... Cheyenne is still a cast member on Teen Mom OG.
There's definitely a debate to be had over Floyd -- but Eason may not be the ideal person to start it.
This is someone who adores the Confederate Flag and who very recently told Michelle Obama to go back to where she came from.
Eason was also fired from this same franchise in 2017 for being so very homophobic, a fact cited by many social media users in response to Eason's latest rant.
“Why do you care? They got rid of you and Junkielle because you were costing them sponsorship money and she’s not,” one person remarked.
Another added:
“It’s a business and they are in it to make money. You two swamp monsters are simply not worth the loss of one penny so they dropped you two like a bad habit.
"Maybe go find a job, pay your child support obligation, stop committing crimes and then you wouldn’t have all this spare time to cry about who MTV chooses to work with.”
There was one individual out there, however, who agreed with Eason that MTV not firing Cheyenne was an example of reverse racism, to which David replied with some straight-up sexist;
“You’re not supposed to say anything if it’s a female being a racist c**t."
Hours later, stiill irate, Eason went on his Instagram Stories ... tagged MTV ... and asked his followers to make Cheyenne (or, as he put it, “this bitch”) “famous for being racist, adding:
"Boycott @MTV, contact their sponsors!"
From there, Eason decided to "fill the streets with uppercuts” for ‘Teen Mom Executive Producer Morgan J. Freeman.
“Morgan acts like he cares about racism but looks like he only holds white people accountable for their actions,” David wrote.
Not finishedd, Eason then posted some screenshots of Cheyenne’s old tweets, along with messages such as: “@MTV you gonna fire everyone or just pick and choose who you don’t like personally?”
For the record, Eason called for Floyd to be fired two years ago as well.
“@MTV knowingly hires a racist,” Eason wrote yesterday on another screenshot of a story about Cheyenne apologizing for her old tweets, concluding;
"@MTV did you know that Cheyenne deleted her apology after saying all this?”
