Shayna Taylor believes “you will never need to convince the right person to love you” in the wake of her breakup from Ryan Seacrest.
Shortly after a rep for Seacrest, 45, confirmed his relationship with Taylor was over, the 28-year-old chef shared an emotional message about change on her Instagram story, re-posting a passage from the Rising Woman account, according to People.
“You will never need to convince the right person to love you. No matter what, you cannot change them, make them do the work, or get them to commit to you if they’re not ready to show up. Change must be inspired from within, and actions are always louder than words,” the statement posted Tuesday read.
Taylor kept the words of encouragement rolling on Wednesday, posting a list from Owl Venice’s page describing “The coolest people I know,” saying they all “give without expectations” and “make no excuses.”
Seacrest’s camp announced Monday his on-and-off-again romance with Taylor was over, noting the two “remain good friends.”
“Ryan and Shayna decided to end their romantic relationship amicably some time ago,” his rep told E! News.
Seacrest appears to have moved on, as the “American Idol” host was recently photographed vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with a mystery woman.
Taylor and Seacrest dated on and off for about seven years.
