Scheana Shay says seeing pregnant friends is difficult after miscarriage

July 03, 2020

Scheana Shay said it’s “really, really hard” seeing pregnant friends since recently suffering a miscarriage.

“Seeing a few of my friends pregnant right now and knowing I was going to be there with them and now I’m not,” she tearfully said in a YouTube video Thursday. “It’s just really, really hard.

“I didn’t know how bad I wanted this until I had a little taste of it and now it’s gone too soon.”

Shay, 36, announced last week that she had suffered a miscarriage. The news comes on the heels of her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Stassi Schroeder announcing her pregnancy with fiancé Beau Clark.

Shay earlier revealed on her “Scheananigans” podcast that Schroeder — who was fired from “Vanderpump” last month — reached out with words of comfort and support, explaining that after the miscarriage news the duo “have talked more in the last five days than [they] have probably in the last five months or five years. She sent me the sweetest, most heartfelt message just genuinely being there for me and that really meant a lot because she’s pregnant right now. I’m sure being pregnant, you can’t imagine losing it.” Shay also seems to be supportive of Schroeder, wishing Schroeder a happy 32nd birthday on her Instagram Stories in late June.

Shay’s boyfriend Brock Davies, the father of the child, publicly supported Shay the day after she told fans about her miscarriage. “She has my back and I have Hers,” Davies captioned an Instagram photo of the pair standing by choppy water.

Shay has been open about her fertility struggles and in 2018 froze her eggs.

Alongside her new YouTube video she wrote: “I know a lot of you have followed along my fertility journey…. This is just one chapter in it and yes, it’s a sad one, but life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.”
