Ryan Dorsey pays tribute to late ex Naya Rivera: ‘Life just isn’t fair’

Naya Rivera’s heartbroken ex broke his silence over the “Glee” star’s drowning death in a California lake, writing “there’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts.”

“This is so unfair,” Ryan Dorsey wrote Saturday on Instagram. “I can’t believe this is life now. I don’t know if I’ll ever believe it.”

The 33-year-old actress and singer disappeared July 8, after taking a pontoon boat out onto Lake Piru with her and Dorsey’s 4-year-old son, Josey. She is believed to have boosted the boy back onto the safety of the boat before slipping into the water, said authorities, who recovered her body July 13.

Dorsey, 37, paid tribute to Rivera with a photo of the young mom cradling their son. The couple split in 2018 after four years of marriage.

The post read:

“You were just here … We were just in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn’t fair. I don’t know what to say … I’m thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for.”

The bereft ex also recalled how Rivera would sometimes chide him for taking too many videos of their young family.

“I’m glad I didn’t listen to you because I have hundreds and probably thousands of snaps and videos that Josey will have forever and know his momma loved him more than life, and how much fun we had together as he was growing up. … We miss you. We will always love you. Love you Meep.”

He thanked people for reaching out before adding, “Time on Earth is precious and you just never know… you never know what could happen. Hold your loved ones close, and cherish the times you have with those you care about.”
