Meghan McCain is still steaming over a Page Six item in which it was revealed that the “View” co-host fled New York for Virginia, even though she’d commented on social media of looting at the time: “My neighborhood in Manhattan is eviscerated and looks like a war zone.”

A comedy writer called her out by posting, “Meghan, we live in the same building, and I just walked outside. It’s fine.” And a source told us of the ABC host, “She isn’t even in the city! She’s in Virginia . . . because she wanted to be in a place she could keep guns.” (McCain’s rep denied she’d fled to be armed.)

But McCain tweeted this week: “That was clearly meant to mock and degrade me as some kind of nut. Wanting to be armed is not a foreign concept for the majority of Americans living outside major cities.”
