Swifties, rejoice.
Taylor Swift announced early Thursday that she will be dropping her eighth studio album, “Folklore,” at midnight. Swift, 30, described the album as “songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into.”
In a statement posted to Twitter, the “Lover” singer added that she wrote the album “in isolation,” and that it features artists including Bon Iver, Jack Antonoff and William Bowery.
“Before this year I probably would’ve overthought when to release this music at the ‘perfect’ time,” she wrote, “but the times we’re living in keep reminding me that nothing is guaranteed. My gut is telling me that if you make something you love, you should just put it out into the world.
“That’s the side of uncertainty I can get on board with,” she concluded. “Love you guys so much.”
Swift said “Folklore” will have 16 songs on the standard edition, including a track called “Cardigan” that will feature a music video also released tonight. Physical deluxe editions will feature a bonus song titled “The Lakes.”
