Soho House eyes Hudson Valley’s Rhinebeck for new location

June 01, 2020

Hudson Valley sources are buzzing that Soho House is eyeing Rhinebeck, NY, as the next location of the trendy members club.

A source told us the tony hamlet in Dutchess County will be home to a new branch of the club to be modeled on its Soho Farmhouse location in England’s Oxfordshire countryside.

Rhinebeck’s known to be popular with celebrities and creative types including Paul Rudd who co-owns Rhinebeck’s Samuel’s Sweet Shop with “The Walking Dead” star Jeffrey Dean Morgan. (Rudd also revealed a decade ago that he has a “full-on authentic Irish pub” in his local home’s basement.)

The Soho Farmhouse’s Cotswolds spread of 100 acres includes a spa, cabins, a cinema and various dining options including a barn for “farm feasts.” David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly isolating at their nine-bedroom country home that’s near Soho Farmhouse, which is undergoing a $25 million expansion that includes putting in a pool, a gym, tennis courts and other amenities.

A source said of a possible Soho House Rhinebeck, “It might make the town just a tad less quiet.”

Reps did not get back to us.
