Losing Badly in the Polls, Trump is Eager to Delegitimize November Election Results

June 19, 2020

Donald Trump, Jr. interviewed his father last night, and honestly, it's just really, really pathetic. Here's Trump rejecting his son's beard.

Here, Don Jr. rambles on and on about Trump's "accomplishments," and Trump just looks at his son with indifference and disdain.

I swear to God I saw video from the interview last night, where at the end of it, Trump, Jr. held out his hand to shake his father's hand, and an indifferent Trump, Sr. just walked away, so either that video was removed, or maybe it was doctored? Or maybe it was a fever dream.

Elsewhere, the sh*tty thing about this is that Trump is not wrong.

Hopefully, we can vote Trump out before he takes another stab at it, and it gets through the court system and back to Justice Roberts, who really is less interested in the racism and more interested in the legal process. Speaking of getting Trump out, a new Fox poll, meanwhile, still has Joe Biden up by double digits, 50% to 38%. Trump blames ... Fox News.

In another interview, Trump said that, if he does lose, it will be because of mail-in voting, which he suggests is the biggest threat to his reelection chances. In other words, he's trying to delegitimize the November election, which is why he is also casting so much doubt on polls that show him down by double digits. If he loses by double digits, and polls show him losing by double digits, it will be more difficult to cast doubt on the results. If the polls -- or at least the polls that Trump can promote -- show a close race and Trump loses, he can more readily blame mail-in ballots and voter fraud.

Elsewhere, Trump tweeted this doctored video out and attributed it to CNN (below is how it was originally reported, with the two kids hugging).

Meanwhile, Tulsa has set a curfew ahead of tomorrow's Trump rally, and Trump himself is threatening violence against protestors, who are Constitutionally allowed to protest. Tomorrow is going to be a sh*t-storm.
