Firefighters Face Criminal Charges Over Racist Incident

A group of Miami firefighters not only lost their jobs for being racist azzholes, but they’re also now facing criminal charges. We previously reported back in 2017 that six firefighters were fired after someone created a noose out of twine and hung it over a family photo of an African American lieutenant.

They also drew lewd pictures of ejaculating penises on several other photos, including one of his wife and one of his children and their grandmother.

Now The Miami Herald reports that Miami-Dade County prosecutors today announced criminal charges against some of them. The Herald reports that four of the six will be charged with criminal mischief and that one will be hit with an additional charge of witness tampering.

GOOD.

If you’re curious about why there’s no hate-crime charge it’s because they could not ultimately determine who hung the noose.

Are you surprised that these firefighters are facing criminal charges???
