Good things come to those who wait, as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC this summer, publisher 505 Games announced.

The title, conceived by former Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi, and is considered a spiritual successor to the series.

Obviously, with a game that’s been in development for several years since its announcement in 2015, and had raised more than US$5.5 million from backers from crowdfunding, expectations are high. Hopefully the game lives up to the hype.

A prequel and companion title, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, was released in May 2018.
