Johnny Depp’s Erectile Dysfunction Led to Sexual Assault, Amber Heard Claims
Earlier this week, 6,000 pages of court documents pertaining to the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp defamation trial were unsealed and made available to the public for the first time.
And not surprisingly, the papers contain loads of shocking revelations about the biggest celebrity court case since the OJ trial.
Yesterday, we learned that the judge refused to allow nude photos of Heard to be introduced into evidence.
Depp’s team also was not permitted to discuss Heard’s brief period of employment as an exotic dancer, which occurred before her acting career took off.
Today, we’re learning more about allegations that Team Heard was not permitted to make during the trial.
One claim in particular has captured the attention of the media — namely, the allegation that Depp suffers from erectile dysfunction.
Attorneys for Heard claimed that the diagnosis was relevant to their case, as they alleged that Depp’s frustration with his condition led him to sexually assault Heard with a glass bottle in 2015.
“Though Mr. Depp would rather not disclose his erectile dysfunction condition, such condition is absolutely relevant to sexual violence, including Mr. Depp’s anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard,” reads a filing from Heard’s lawyers.
“Mr. Depp’s erectile dysfunction makes it more probable that Mr. Depp would be angry or agitated in encounters with Amber Heard, and that he would resort to a bottle.”
Attorneys for Depp shot back that Heard “wants a circus, and clearly intends to take this trial down a number of unnecessarily salacious rabbit holes, including and especially with respect to Mr. Depp’s medical history.”
“I called it angry sex that Johnny could not fully perform,” Heard alleged.
“He would throw me on the bed, he did this several times, and he’d force himself on me in an angry way.”
Arguably the most shocking moment of a trial that was filled with them came when Heard offered a detailed account of the infamous Australia fight, during which she says Depp raped with her with a discarded liquor bottle.
“I didn’t know if the bottle he had inside me was broken,” the actress tearfully recalled.
“I couldn’t feel it. I couldn’t feel anything.”
Depp later took the stand a second time and denied the allegations.
“No human being is perfect, certainly not. None of us,” he told the court.
“But I have never in my life committed sexual battery, physical abuse, all these outlandish, outrageous stories of me committing these things and living with it for six years and waiting to be able to bring the truth out.”
The judge also refused to allow texts between Depp and longtime friend Marilyn Manson to be used as evidence.
In a 2016 conversation, Manson complained about his now-ex-wife Lindsay Usich, describing her as “Amber 2.0.”
Depp advised Manson “not to give her what she wants,” adding, “Sociopathic behavior… it is f–king real, my brother!! My ex-c–t is goddamn TEXTBOOK!!”
Manson later complained that he was in a “serious police amber type scenarios with L’s family,” adding:
“I’m f–king stressing. I don’t know if you are back but I need asylum somewhere because I think the cops might be headed my way.”
Manson has been accused of abuse by actress Evan Rachel Wood and several other exes.
Attorneys for Depp successfully argued that the texts would lead to Depp being condemned as guilty by association.
Heard is in the process of appealing the jury’s $10.35 million ruling in Depp’s favor.
It remains to be seen if she’ll get a second trial, or if any of this evidence will be allowed in court if there is a round two.
But whatever the case, it’s sure to have a major impact in the court of public opinion.
